The New Jersey Devils continue to impress, while the Blackhawks continue to regress. The Devils beat Chicago last night with another wild performance. A 7-5 win, and New Jersey is now 11-4-2. They are also have scored 61 goals this season, which places them 3rd in the league. Miles Wood had a hat trick in the win. Miles brings a scoring punch, with a bit of a mean streak. (21 PM already this season) He adds another element to a team that needs it.
Then there are the Chicago Blackhawks who fell to .500 for the season.(8-8-1) They are not a bad team, just an "average" team. The way they are playing, they could be a playoff team, but they are definitely not Cup Contenders. Corey Crawford is not getting the support he needs. He is currently 7-7-1 with a GAA 2.21 and a SV% of .932. Those are solid numbers, and typical Crawford statistics. Alex DeBrincat is having a solid rookie season with 11 points, so there are some good things going on. However their is nothing "spectacular" from the Hawks this year. That could definitely change, and you can never count these Hawks out. However, at this point the New Jersey Devils look to be Cup contenders, and the Hawks are not...
