Look out NHL, Jonathan Tavares is starting to heat up! Tavares had a hat trick last night in the Islanders 5-3 victory of the Arizona Coyotes. He now has 6 goals and 10 points in 9 games. An impressive start for an impressive player.

Now I know what you are thinking, Tavares had his hat trick against a lowly team like Arizona. However, that really doesn't matter. What matters that his teams is performing well, and he has alot to do with that. He also make his linemates that much better. Currently Tavares is centering a line with Anders Lee and Jordan Eberle. Together those 3 players have 23 points. The beauty of Tavares is that he is only 27 years old! He has many good years ahead of him. He has been consistent through out his career. You can always count on 30 goals and around 70 to 80 points. It would still be nice to see him really break out and have a 40 goal/100 points season. Who knows, that might occur this season! Either way, he a fun player to watch, and if he stays hot, that Islanders will keep making a push to be a division contender.
