Golden Knights beating the odds

With their 5-4 OT victory over Buffalo last night, the Las Vegas Golden Knights are an impressive 5-1 to start the season. They lead the Pacific Division, while James Neal and David Perron have conbimed for 13 points. Surprised yet??? Well, your not the only one.
Gone are the days of expansion teams trudging through years of mediocrity to start their history. Garry Bettman wanted parity, and that is what he has got. A good decision by Bettman?? I believe so. Yikes, that is definitely defining logic! Time to go take my chance at the slots machines in Vegas!
Say what you want about a team being in Las Vegas not fitting into the NHL structure. Heck, I still think it was a bad idea to have a team there. However, so far, things are going well. Check back in about 3 to 4 years, and we see if that changes.
I can't help but cheer a bit for the Golden Knights. Especially now that they have Malcolm Subban in net for them. Subban is 2-0 replacing an injured Marc-Andre Fleury. Ok, Subban will be regulated to a backup, once Fleury returns. However Fleury is not getting any younger, and Subban could eventually take over the reigns. Another Subban to cheer for!!!! I like that, I like that alot. So slowly, but surely the Las Vegas Golden Knights are growing on me..... Ok, I think I need to take cold shower now...... Did I just say that????? Hummm guess I did.
