Stammer and the Hammer nailing down the competition

A healthy Steven Stamkos playing alongside a healthy Nikita Kucherov, equates to painfully nights for the opposition. Literally they have the ability to put the final nail in the coffin of any game. Ohhh.. I just had a creative thought!!! Tampa Bay should make a trade with Colorado to get Nail Yakupov!! That way they can truly NAIL it! Ok, back to reality now. ;-)

All puns aside, Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov have a legitimate chance to both score 40+ goals each. Pop quiz, when was last time that teammates scored 40+ goals in a season???? I will give you 10 seconds to figure it out. 10...9...8..7...6..5..4..3..2.1...0.. Times up. The answer my friends would be Daniel Sedin and Ryan Kesler who both scored 41 goals during the 2010-11 season. 10 bonus Kaluwski points if you got that right.

So far this season, Stamkos and Kucherov have combined for 8 goals and 11 assists in 6 games. Kucherov had two goals last night in a 3-2 victory over Detroit. The Bolts are 5-1 to start the season, and look like to be perrenial contenders again. (Especially with Stamkos and Kucherov playing on the same line) It is really a breath of fresh air to see these two superstars playing so well together. Let's hope that they can both stay healthy. If they do stay healthy, expect 100 point seasons from both of them! Yes, that is my Bold Big Kaluwski prediction for the year.

Suprisingly enough, that was the only game last night. However there a slew of games tonight, so it should be another thrill-packed night of hockey.
