One million reasons why the Flames struck Jagr gold

Just when I was questioning the mental state of several NHL GM's, the Calgary Flames re-established some common sense and signed Hall of Fame, 2nd all-time scorer, and complete work horse Jaromir Jagr to a one-year, one million dollar contract.
Kudos to the Flames, but seriously, what were the other GM's smoking??? Jagr is a all-star player, on and off the ice. He had 16 goals, and 46 points last season, which was more points that the following "stars"
-Jordan Staal
-Travis Zajac
-Daniel Sedin
-Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
-Matt Duchene
-Paul Stastny
Ok, yes Jagr is 45 years old, and he is not the best skater. However, he has something no one can teach, which is talent. He is a great locker-room player, hard working, and just a great teacher for younger players. So I am in utter shock that no other team, (other than St.Louis) showed interest in Jags. I am looking at you specifically Montreal!!! Jagr would have been a great fit in Montreal. He could have brought instant respectibility to that team. Grrrrr!! Ok, I am getting on a rant her. Breath... in.. out... Zen.... Okk much better..;-)
Jagr will immediately help the Flames. He could easily play on the 1st line along Gaudreau and Monahan. Or on a line with Matthew Tkachuk and Sam Benett. Wherever he ends up, he is going to be productive. He had 8 PPG goals last year, so he will help improve the Flames Power Play. This is just a great overall move by the Flames, and at a bargin bin price fo $1. That is like finding 1 KG jar of Kraft Peanut butter for $1 at the Dollarama. You just can't miss with it.. Jagr peanut butter... ummmm. Reminds me of this...

Creamy, tasty, and something that will grow on you, and be a hit. Yep, sounds like how the Flames and Jagr era will be. It might only last one year, so enjoy it while you can.
