After a bit of technical difficulties, my blog is back and fully functional. Just in time to, as we are in full swing for the NHL playoffs. A time where the REAL starts.

Since the series have already started, I will give my current analysis of each series.

Let' s start in the East

1) Washington vs Toronto (Toronto leads series 2-1)

- The President Trophy curse continues? The Capitals were easily the favorites in this series, and although each game has gone to OT, the Caps seem a bit unprepared for the young Leafs team. Holtby has look very rattled and times, and the Leafs just seem to have that hunger. Can the Leafs pull off the upset?

2) Montreal vs Toronto (Montreal leads series 2-1)

- Montreal was 13 seconds away from being down 2-0 in the series. Instead they pull out a OT win in Game 2, dominated the Rangers in Game 3, and now have control of the series. Lundqvist can't win games by himself, and that is what he is currently tasked to do. Radulov is showing why the Habs got a real steal in signing him last summer

3) Pittsburgh vs Columbus (Pittsburgh leads series 3-0)

-Even with some major piece of their team missing (Hagelin, Kunitz, Letang, Murray) the Pens still have found a way to win. Pretty impressive, and they have the Blue Jackets shell shocked at the moment. Could be a sweep by the Pens.

4) Ottawa vs Boston (Ottawa leads series 2-1)

-The Sens blew a 3-0 lead last night, but still managed to win the game in OT. ( on a bonehead penalty by the Bruins Riley Nash) The series feels like it could go 7 games

Now for the West..

1) Chicago vs Nashville (Nashville leads series 3-0)

- As a Hawks fan, this one hurts. The Predators have stifled the Hawks through the first 3 games, and have put Chicago on the brink of elimination. The fat lady has not sung yet, but she is warming up.

2) San Jose vs Edmonton (Edmonton leads series 2-1)

- Is this another Shark Tank? Oilers have shutout the Sharks in the last two games. A playoff series win by the Oilers? Wow, must be dreaming.

3) Minnesota vs St.Louis (St.Louis leads series 3-0)

- The Wild, much like the Hawks, finished the regular season in a slump, and that carried on into the playoffs. Jake Allen has been stellar in net for the Blues, and the Wild's top lines have been shutdown

4) Anaheim vs Calgary (Calgary leads series 3-0)

- The Ducks domination of the Flames continues! The Flames are being put out, and this series could end in 4.

So there you have it! Alot of exciting games so far. 11 of the 24 games have gone to Overtime. That's close to 50%! That means that it is still anyone's game to win. So stay tuned, and enjoy the best time of the year for a hockey fan
