It's time again for the Weekly Warrior. This weeks recipient is Jonathan Drouin from the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Let's have a look at his statistics for his season:
GP=67
G =21
A =30
Pts =51
GWG =6
PPG =9
Plus/Minus = -7
ATOI: 17:47
-It's been a rollercoaster of a career for Drouin, and his relationship with Tamp Bay has been fractured at times. However, this year, things seem to be coming together for the young superstar. (and he is a superstar) Drouin has all the tools and skill to be a 40 goal and 80 points forward. Along side Stamkos, they could form a dymanic duo.
The problem is whether Drouin has a future with Tampa Bay? The Bolts have 3 big name RFA's at the end of the year. (Tyler Johnson, Ondrej Palat, and Drouin) They will not be able to re-sign all of those players, and Drouin is going to command about 5-6 million per season. That means that the chances of Drouin re-signing with the Bolts are slim.
However, if the the Bolts do make the playoffs, and Drouin has a solid post season, Tampa Bay might have no other choice than to break the bank to keep him.
