It is time once again for another Weekly Warrior. This week we spotlight Nick Foligno. Yes, I know another Columbus Blue Jacket is being spotlighted. (Alexander Wennberg last week) However, I just can ignore Foligno's solid start to the season. Just look at these stats!

GP: 18

G: 7

A: 11

Pts: 18

Plus/Minus: 3

PP Goals: 3

S% : 23.3

ATOI: 17:52

FW% (Face off win %) :55.6

Those are pretty spectacular numbers! Although Nick scored 73 points in the 2014-15 season, he has never solidified himself as a top tier player. He was not able to attain this with Ottawa, nor Columbus. However, that might change this year. Especially if he continues to play on the Blue Jackets 1st line. His linemates are Brandon Saad and Alexander Wennberg. In my mind, that is one of the most underrated 1st lines in the league.

Not only is Nick Foligno having statistical success, the team is doing well also. (W 10 L 4 SOL 3) He is the current Captain of the Blue Jackets, and is fitting of that title. He has the experience, drive, and determination to lead his team to hopefully another playoff appearance.

Nick comes from a "hockey" family. His dad (Mike Foligno) played several seasons in NHL, and Nick's brother Marcus, plays for the Buffalo Sabres. Nick also gives back to kids and their family is a huge community contributor. One month after Marcus Foligno was drafted, their mother Janice pasted away from cancer. A foundation was formed in her honour, and I encourage you to check it out here:

Nick Foligno's success will definitely play a pivotal factor in how the team does this season. So far, so good, and he is definitely has earned this weeks "Weekly Warrior".
