It's time again for the Weekly Warrior. This week's recipient is Alexander Wennberg from the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Due to playing in Columbus, you might not have heard about Alexander Wennberg, but believe me, you soon will. He is the prototypical Swedish forward, who is able to play all forward positions, and has incredible speed and skill. Think Henrik Zetterberg type of skill.

Let's have a look at his stats so far this season:

GP 14

G 2

A 13

Pts 15

Plus/Minus 7

PPA (Power Play Assists) 8

ATOI (Average Time On Ice) 17:03

Those are some pretty stellar stats. In my mind, this kid is going to be a beast. He is the Blue Jackets top center at the moment, and is seeing alot of ice. At 22 years old, and in his third NHL season, their is plenty of potential that he still has not reached. His faceoff % is a bit of a concern. (45.1%) However that is an aspect of him game that he will refine over time. He is not going to score 40 goals in a season, as he is a pass happy type of player. However, he can definitely rack up the assists. He is by far and away the Blue Jackets most talented forward. There is so much potential this kid. He is on place for 70+ points this season. Special numbers for a special player.

If he keeps this up, he could receive a considerable pay raise during the off season. The Blue Jackets are off to a strong start this season, and Wennberg is a big part of their success. So for those who have not picked him in your hockey pool, or have not started to collect his hockey cards... Now is the time to hope on board the Wennberg Bus.
